First visit
Your first visit, step by step
About 45 minutes. A parent or guardian stays in the room for a child under 18.
- 01
Step 1: You arrive and check in
The front desk has your benefits information and any forms you chose to complete online.
- 02
Step 2: You and your child talk with the doctor
The doctor asks about your child's health history, school and sports, and what you have noticed, and asks your child too.
- 03
Step 3: A look at how your child moves
A hands-on exam at your child's pace. The doctor says what they are doing before they do it.
- 04
Step 4: The doctor explains what they found
In plain words, with what they suggest, what they do not and the risks that apply. X-rays only when medically necessary.
- 05
Step 5: You decide on a next step
Care starts that day only if you agree. You hear the fee for each part before it happens.
What to bring
What to bring to the first visit
Not a form to fill out in advance. Just a few things that help.
Health details are shared with the doctor in the room, not in a website form. If you would like to send us records ahead of time, call the front desk and ask how.
Bring
Your insurance card, if you use insurance
A list of any medicines your child takes
Anything from your pediatrician you would like us to see
